The Redwood Empire Model T Club has been keeping the spirit of the Tin Lizzie alive since 1990, when 20 enthusiastic Model T owners decided it was time to crank up something special. What began as a small group of dedicated hobbyists has grown into a lively community of more than 130 members and 140 Model Ts. Not every member owns a Model T, but everyone shares the same spark: a love for these remarkable machines and the history they carry down the road.

From March through October, the club hits the road with monthly local tours, giving members a chance to enjoy good company, scenic routes, and the unmistakable charm of Model T motoring. The club also gathers on the first Thursday of each month for meetings, fellowship, stories, planning, and probably a little harmless horseless carriage talk. Once a year, members pack their enthusiasm and take part in an enjoyable 3 to 4 day tour at a nearby scenic destination.

The calendar stays busy with traditions that keep the club running like a well-tuned engine. Members enjoy the annual Christmas dinner, the fall pumpkin tour, an annual fundraiser, and a yearly safety check to make sure the cars are ready for another season of touring. After all, even a grand old motorcar deserves a proper once-over before taking to the open road.

The club’s goal is simple: preserve, enjoy, and share the legacy of the Ford Model T. Through collecting, restoring, driving, exchanging technical knowledge, and welcoming new enthusiasts, the Redwood Empire Model T Club promotes fellowship and encourages participation among everyone who appreciates early automotive history. Motor tours are at the heart of the club experience, because these cars were not built to sit quietly in a garage. They were built to putter, rattle, climb, coast, and make people smile.
